On Friday evening, I hopped on a plane at LAX. 10 hours later, I was at London Heathrow, and it was 11am on Saturday. I'm here with the All Saints Beverly Hills, and while we'll spend some time in London toward the end of the trip, our first destination was Wells, where we'll be singing daily services all week.
Getting from London Heathrow to Wells required a three-hour bus ride. Sleep was tempting, but I was trying to hold off until the new local nightfall in an attempt to stave off jet lag. So, zombiefied, watery-eyed, and a little carsick, I surprised even myself by breaking out markers and paper. I usually stick to words when I doodle, but I couldn't resist sketching the gorgeous puffy clouds hovering above the electric green landscape we were zooming past, on the left side of the road at...I don't know, 100km per hour? Is that a fast speed? It was something like that.
Not pictured: cows. Lots and lots of cows. And some sheep. And a few horses.
Safe travels. Joyful songs.
