I haven't posted on my blog in ages. I haven't written Sweet Valley reviews. I haven't even baked a cake in months. But I have a good excuse, as you may or may not be aware:
Grad School.
I'm here getting my MFA in screenwriting, which is impossible to tell anyone without a sheepish grin. Doing this meant moving to Orange County. Moving across the country has been stressful and expensive, but OH MY GOD THE SUN. It woke me up this morning, hot and bright on my forehead. I don't close the blinds at night because this is my favorite way to wake up. I'm not sure if it's because I am a native desert person or because of the decades of sun deprivation in Chicago, but I don't care. The sun is my favorite.
I should probably be writing stories about the stories I've been writing, or post links to some of the weird videos I've made. I could write reviews of the movies I saw this week, or talk about the intense pleasure of standing outside a multiplex at one in the morning and debating the details of every aspect of a movie (it was Cloud Atlas) with about 10 of my film school peers. But, instead, I'll just share some photos I've taken since I've been here. I think you'll find them sunny (sorry to rub it in, rest-of-the-country-ites).
More later. Promise.
Good way off explaining, and nice article to obtain data concerning my presentation subject matter, which i am going to convey in university.
